Ground Rolling Tap 1. Material: HSS CO8%, CPM,CPS, imported from Germany. 2. Thread Type: M(Metric), UNC, UNF, W. 3. Surface Treatment: Bright, TIN, TICN, Black Oxide. 4. Platform: Tapping Machine, CNC, Auto Lathe, etc. 5. Work Material: Aluminum, Cast Aluminum, Zinc, Cast Zinc, Non-ferrous Metals, etc. Note: Standard size are available from stock and non-standard size are welcome too. When order, please indicate your specific request: the exact size, work material(hardness, exact type), hole condition(through hole or blind hole, depth, drill hole size), coolant(oil or water), taplimit, gauge go/not go, etc. No chips are produced in thread forming, so the tools don't need any path to evacuate them. Forming taps thus have a larger cross section and are stronger than equivalent-size cutting taps. Most forming taps include oil grooves that provide lubrication to threads at the front of the tap. Forming taps must be applied in materials that cold form well. This includes light metals and light metal alloys as well as steels and other materials with tensile strength to 1200 N/mm^sup 2^ and hardness below about R^sub C^ 35-40. Generally, materials that produce a continuous chip when drilling are good candidates for thread forming. This list is longer than you might think, and includes wrought and cast aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper, brass, stainless steels, carbon steels, and zinc diecasting alloys.
